Making ready in just a few minutes the new flagship CABS6000 delivers productivity that is second to none and a comprehensive set of optional quality control features will guarantee that only "pefectly" bound books ever reach your clients.

The new SB-17 17 clamp binder it is capable of producing up to 6,000 books/hour and is equipped with an interchangeable glue tank assembly that allows both EVA or PUR hot melt glue to be used. The newly designed high speed MG-600 gatherers and HT-110 3 side trimmer can be configured in-line in multiple layouts to suit your particular site requirements. Optional image checking cameras, thickness detector, weight checker, book block length detector, and other quality control features makes the CABS one of the most simple to use and productive binding lines available today.

BQ-470

The Horizon BQ-470 is a fully-automated four-clamp perfect binder. The latest in an expanding line of perfect binding products that draw on Horizon’s core competence of providing affordable automation in print finishing. The BQ-470, with its state-of-the-art design, compact configuration, and full automation, is positioned to meet the demands of the short to mid-run book market. 

Standard features include an intelligent 10.4" touch-screen control console, newly-developed adhesive application and side-gluing system, automatic air-suction cover feeding with in-line creasing, job programming, and same-location loading and unloading for easier single-person operation. It produces up to 1,350 superior-quality perfect bound books per hour, with four clamps that travel on a vertical elliptical track. The BQ-470 can bind books up to 65mm thick, and interchangeable glue tanks support both EVA and PUR adhesives to meet varying customer requirements.

The new HT-80 3-knife trimmer.  The Horizon HT-80 automated three knife trimmer can be used off-line or in-line with the Horizon BQ-470 Perfect Binder for fast, efficient book production using Horizon's intelligent automation. The machine can be enhanced with JDF utilizing pXnet bindery control system for minimizing downtime at make-ready, reducing waste, increase staff flexibility and allowing constant job information management.

BQ-270

 The Horizon BQ270 is our popular, fully automated single-clamp perfect binder designed for simple, single-person production of up to 500 books per hour. 

Standard features include an intelligent touch-screen control console, newly-developed adhesive application and side-gluing system, automatic air-suction cover feeding with in-line creasing, job programming, and same-location loading and unloading for easier operation. The BQ-270 can bind books up to 50mm thick and with its state-of-the-art design, compact configuration, and full automation, it is ideally positioned to meet the demands of the short-run book market.

BQ-160

The BQ-160 is available in EVA or PUR models and is specifically designed for "book of one" production environments typical with photo books and On-demand publishing. The Horizon BQ-160 has a processing speed of up-to 180 cycles per hour and can handle a block thickness of up to 40mm.

The graphic colour touch screen provides easy set up, navigation and trouble shooting for three modes of binding: soft cover perfect binding, tape/pad binding and lining binding (block preparation for hard cover case binding) all can be performed with a simple select function from the touch screen. A 2nd level plate is available enabling the incorporation of end paper after the notching process, meaning that the lining bound book blocks can be produced in a single pass. Single or double pass notching produces strong binds and notching can be easily be controlled from the touch screen. The notching cutter is specifically designed for EVA or PUR glues ensuring optimal binding with coated or uncoated stocks.

The PUR model can operate on as little as 200ml of glue and the Teflon coated cassette style glue tank is designed to be very easy to clean.

The Horizon CRB-160 impact cover creaser can be configured in-line with the BQ-160 for complete book production at one station. The CRB-160 communicates with the BQ-160 and sets up automatically from the block thickness measured by the BQ-160 clamp and creases the cover with the appropriate 4 line spine & hinge creases. In addition the CRB-160 can also crease for front and rear flap folds in the same pass.

The entry level BQ-150 is available with EVA glue capability only and is less automated for lower volume environments.

HT-80

The Horizon HT-80 automated three knife trimmer can be used off-line or in-line with the Horizon BQ-470 Perfect Binder for fast, efficient book production using Horizon's intelligent automation. The machine can be enhanced with JDF utilizing pXnet bindery control system for minimizing downtime at make-ready, reducing waste, increase staff flexibility and allowing constant job information management.

Automated Set-up. Total of 9 sections. Most sections can be set up automatically by inputting the untrimmed size and finished size into the intuitive colour touch screen for quick and accurate change over. Up to 200 job settings can be memorized for repetitive or special jobs with the job name.

Book of one Production. Books of the same size but different thickness can be trimmed at the same time, for true book of one production.

To handle this production you can choose either one of operation;

1. Input maximum book block thickness and the system will trim within the inputted thickness range continuously.

2. The optional TD-80 will measure the thickness of each book before trimming and the press plate waiting position will automatically set for faster production.

Cooling Conveyor (option). Bound books are transported from the binder to the trimmer by use of the conveyor which is equipped with intermittent conveyor control system. This conveyor ensures sufficient cool time even in a small foot print. Various lay-out designs can be arranged depending on space requirements.

HT-30

The Horizon HT30 robotic trimmer is the perfect accompanyment to your BQ270 perfect binder. 

Going about it's work totally unattended and utilising a single knife the HT30 accuarately trims all three sides at up to 200 cycles per hour. Now it is possible for a single operator to bind and trim books at the same time! 

As is usual for Horizon products the HT 30 features Horizon's intuitive and fully automated set up using a touch screen console. Up to 12” of books can be loaded into the automatic in-feed hopper. Precision stepper motors then position all guides and clamps to insure accurate, professional quality trimming.
